Peer-Reviewed Presentations at the AIMCAL Theater at CMM International

General Information:

AIMCAL and CMM International will honor new technology and innovation on the show floor during the 2007 CMM International show at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL, June 4 - 7, 2007.

The most significant new technology having an impact on the converting industry or the consuming marketplace will be chosen for daily presentation in the AIMCAL Theatre located on the show floor during the CMM International exhibition.

All industry suppliers are invited to submit the products or technologies they feel best meet the criteria described below. All entries will be peer reviewed, and those companies selected will have the opportunity to present their technology in the AIMCAL Theatre in the afternoon of show days Monday, June 4 through Wednesday June 6. Companies must be CMM International exhibitors, but are not required to be members of AIMCAL.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • New technology or innovation commercially introduced on or after January 1, 2004.
  • Defined broadly, new technology includes any product, material, process, equipment or system of scientific or technical origin.
  • Entry must have current commercial application and be available for sale or license in the marketplace.
  • Only CMM International exhibiting companies are eligible. More than one entry may be submitted by an exhibiting company.

Basic Criteria on which Entries are Judged

  • Features and benefits - immediate and projected long-term impact on the Industry
  • General technical importance, uniqueness and usefulness.
  • Degree of technical contribution by the applicant company to the total technology (when more than one company is involved in the same technology).

Entry Procedure:

  • To enter online use the form located here.
  • CMM International exhibitors may submit unlimited entries, as long as each entry meets the criteria described above.
  • Each entry must be in English on an official entry form, or accompany an official entry form with the information provided in the same order and format as described on the official entry form.
  • Descriptive literature and photographs of the technology may be included. Please include 6 copies of each item.
  • Clearly label proprietary information as proprietary.

Fee:

No fee is required for entry. No fee is required for those technologies accepted for presentation.

Judging and Confidentiality:

  • Judging will be conducted by a team of independent, nonaffiliated associates selected from diversified market and technology areas. AIMCAL and CMM International will act as non-voting moderators for the competition.
  • All decisions by the judging panel will be final.
  • Judges may contact the individual submitting the entry for further clarification or information.
  • Judges are instructed to maintain the confidentiality of entries at all times.
