- Registration: The conference is open to both members and non-members of AIMCAL. TableTop exhibits are available to AIMCAL members only. The registration desk will be open on Sunday, October 7 from 10:00AM to 7:00PM and will open again on Monday morning at 7:00AM. Your conference registration includes access to all conference functions including all sessions, receptions, and designated meals. Spouse fees cover all designated meals, and receptions, but does not include attendance at any conference sessions. Registration is required to participate in any aspect of the conference.

- Hotel Reservations: Hotel reservations are to be made directly with the resort. Make sure that you reference the AIMCAL meeting in order to receive the negotiated rate of $139 per night (tax not included). Rooms are limited so we suggest that you make your reservations early.
Cut-off date to receive the AIMCAL room rate is September 14, 2007. After that date, rooms are available at a space and prevailing rate basis. - Proceedings: Extended Abstracts, Papers and Presentations will be published prior to the conference and distributed at registration.

Sunday Evening Keynote Address: The Shape of Things to Come Mark Fihn, Veritas et Visus Mark Fihn is publisher & editor-in-chief at Veritas et Visus, which provides in depth news and information about the focused topics in the displays industry. Five topics currently are the bedrock for the Veritas et Visus newsletters: Flexible displays, Display-related standards and regulations, 3D displays, High resolution displays, and Touch panels. Prior to Veritas et Visus, Mark worked for three years at the market research firm DisplaySearch. He additionally participated for 15 years in computer system and LCD-related procurement and strategy at Texas Instruments and Dell Computer while living in the United States and Taiwan. He has been active in many display-related areas, most specifically in publicly championing industry-wide adoption of high resolution displays, notebook LCD standardization and video sub-system integration. Mark was educated at St. Olaf College (Northfield, Minnesota), the American Graduate School of International Management (Phoenix, Arizona), St. Edward’s University (Austin, Texas), and in the University of Texas at Austin’s doctoral program in International Business. Most recently, Mark has been an active supporter and lecturer at the DisplayMasters degree program in the UK, contributing course lectureships at Cambridge University, Dundee University and The Nottingham-Trent University. |

Assure your spot by registering early! The tournament will be shotgun start at 1:00pm at the Desert Canyon Golf Club (about 5 minutes from hotel). Website: www.desertcanyongolf.com Green fees & tax, cart and transportation to and from the hotel (includes lunch): $85 pp. Golf club rental - $25 ![]() Jeep Tour of the Sonoran Desert on Tuesday Just outside the big city is a world unchanged since the old times. A 'cowboy' guide will take you in one an off-road 4x4 to explore the desert the way it was before concrete and electricity. Your guide will take you off the main roads and out onto Arizona Sonoran Desert trails, where you will ride and walk through a land teaming with wildlife and plants that live nowhere else. This will be a three and a half to four hour excursion. Jeeps will depart from the hotel at approximately 1:15 PM. Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring sunblock. Sunglasses and jackets recommended. Fee for participation: $75 pp. Scottsdale Gun Club Join us at the Scottsdale Gun Club at 2:00 PM Tuesday for a few "rounds" on the firing range. This event will include safety instructions and is suitable for first-timers or for those experienced with target shooting. This is a carpool event. Please arrange transporation with other participants at the conference. Fee for participation: $40 pp. |
Dr. Bernard Henry Memorial 5k Run
Join AIMCAL at 6:00AM Monday Morning for this fun walk/run in memory of Dr. Bernard Henry. All proceeds will be donated to the Bernard Henry Scholarship Fund. Run departs from outside the lobby promptly at 6AM. Participation is $25 per individual. Corporate sponsorships are available for $250 by contacting the AIMCAL Office.
