Dear AIMCAL Member,
On behalf of AIMCAL, I send good wishes to all of our members - wishing everyone a healthy and prosperous 2012.
AIMCAL had a solid 2011, with strong performance to budget and a record membership for the association. The successful launch of a new AIMCAL technical publication - Converting Quarterly has greatly increased AIMCAL's reach and content to the industry. New initiatives in 2012 will build on that success and we are confident that AIMCAL will continue its strong, positive trend.
The 2012 AIMCAL Management Meeting is coming soon (March 11 - 14) and I encourage anyone who has never attended the Management conference to do so. The opportunities to meet with leading industry professionals, combined with timely, focused management and industry presentations, makes this meeting an exceptional business event. Puerto Rico is a wonderful, affordable destination for our meeting, but the networking with industry leaders is what makes the AIMCAL Management Meeting a unique and important conference for senior managers in the converting industry.
Important Opportunity for AIMCAL Management Meeting! For the first time, AIMCAL members can host a non-member to attend the member's only Management Meeting. This opportunity is for one time only. The invited guest must be an eligible AIMCAL member to attend future Management meetings. All member registration and optional event fees apply. To inquire about this opportunity, contact AIMCAL's Tracey Ingram at tracey@aimcal.org.
AIMCAL will launch its first technical conferences in Europe (Prague, Czech Republic) this coming June 10 -15. I ask that you reach out to your business and professional contacts in the US and Europe and let them know about this important event for Europe. In October, we are going back to our favorite location - Myrtle Beach Marriott Resort in South Carolina - for the USA Web Coating and Web Handling conferences. Papers are still being accepted for both events and I encourage you to support and attend these conferences. Information is available on the website - www.aimcal.org.
Don't forget Converting Quarterly and the new 2012 AIMCAL SourceBook for your marketing plans in 2012. Both publications are proven resources to our industry and for the first time ever, the expanded SourceBook is accepting advertising from member companies. Due dates are almost on us, so don't delay. Sponsorship opportunities are available for AIMCAL conferences as well. Contact the AIMCAL office or go to the website www.aimcal.org for more info.
Best Regards,
Liz Josephson, AIMCAL President
