TC Transcontinental Packaging to add 50 jobs to Clinton, MO

TC Transcontinental Packaging announced plans to expand its facilities in Clinton, adding 50 new jobs. Construction has begun to add 105,000 square feet to its manufacturing plant located at Gerhart Industrial Park, which is one of two locations that the Canada-based commercial printing and packaging company owns in Clinton. The new space is expected to be ready in late 2023.

“We’re working to show new companies we mean business and that we are a great location to consider,” Clinton Mayor Carla Moberly said in a press release. “TC Transcontinental Packaging is a great company and we’re appreciative of their continued investments and new jobs here.” The packaging company is expanding through Missouri Works, a Missouri Department of Economic Development program that gives for-profit and nonprofit businesses access to capital through withholdings or tax credits to expand facilities and create jobs. The new jobs are expected to pay “well above” the Henry County average wage, which was $18.19 in 2020, according to the release.

TC Transcontinental Packaging manufactures flexible packaging such as pouches, overwrap, lidding, roll stock, non-forming web and forming web at its Clinton plants. It began operating in the town after acquiring Capri Packaging’s assets in 2014.

The publicly-traded company employs almost 8,000 workers and operates in eight countries, according to its website.
