Specialties and packaging papers are playing an increasingly important role in an environmentally conscious world. Sappi is FSC, SFI, PEFC certified and offers a variety of products and solutions, including:



• C1S and C2S base papers (LusterCote, LusterPrint, Parade)

• Paperboard (Proto, Proto Litho, Spectro, Algro Design, Fusion)

• Casting and release papers - for texturing coated fabrics, laminates, technical films, and foams

• Specialty Papers including fexible packaging (Algro, Leine), functional papers (Algro Guard, Liene Guard), silicone base papers (Sol, Silco), coated bags and labels, dye sublimation papers, and inkjet papers.



Graphic papers

• In North America, our graphic paper brands include McCoy, Opus, Somerset and Flo. Printed communications remain effective, cost efficient and powerful in delivering messages to and eliciting actions from target audiences.



Dissolving wood pulp

• Our dissolving wood pulp (DWP) brand Verve is a significant player within this market. With 16% share of the DWP market and producing close to 1.4m tons per annum, Verve is a truly sustainable brand. From textiles to pharmaceuticals and food applications, Sappi has the expertise, technology and track record to meet almost any challenge from these DWP market segments.



Biomaterials

• Sappi is also investing in various biochemical technologies for biomaterials and bio-energy and using wood pulp, we are pioneering low cost cellulose nanofibrils (CNF) production with a unique patented process in line with our intention of seeking new growth opportunities in adjacent and new markets.



Capabilities: Toll manufacturing and coating, paper making, paper and film coating (silicone, Quilon, and e-beam), embossing, calendaring, rewinding.
