Toray Plastics, to Launch its Torayfan OPP Label Film Portfolio at Labelexpo Americas 2022

Toray Plastics (America), Inc., announces that it will launch its new Toray Label Film (TLF) portfolio at Labelexpo Americas 2022, September 13-15, booth 2017. The company, which is renowned for its Lumirror™ polyester films specified for label applications, capitalizes on its leadership in the manufacture of state-of-the-art polypropylene films and its new state-of-the-art 8.7 meter polypropylene film line to produce the new materials of labels. The first Torayfan® OPP label film portfolio consists of three roll films: 48, 65 and 75 gauge TLFC clear film, 59 gauge TLFM matte film and 110 gauge TLFW white cavity film. for labels offer excellent adhesion to ink and excellent printability as well as very good resistance to humidity.

Transparent film has superior clarity, and the opacity, brightness and gloss of white film are also superior, and can enable the converter to remove white ink. The TLF range is compatible with flexo and gravure presses, energy drying inks and water-based laminators, with and without solvent. Additionally, the new line of polypropylene films allows the company to provide customers with larger rolls that offer more linear footage. This means converters will have fewer coil changes and splices. The Toray team will also share information about new PSL label movies in development. This diverse portfolio will include uncoated and coated BOPP facestocks for clear, metallic, cavity and solid core white label applications.
