AIMCAL seeks presenters for co-located R2R USA Conference 2021

The Association of International Metallizers, Coaters and Laminators (AIMCAL) has issued a Call for Papers for its 2021 AIMCAL R2R (roll-to-roll) USA Conference. The multi-track conference will be held in-person Oct. 17-21, 2021, in conjunction with the ICEC (International Converting Exhibition and Conference USA (www.convertingshow.com, formerly ICE USA) at the Orange County Convention Ctr. in Orlando, FL.

The AIMCAL R2R USA Conference continues its partnership with the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Flexible Packaging Division’s FlexPackCon^®. New for this year is focused content on gravure printing and coating processes in coordination with the Gravure Association of the Americas (GAA) Fall Technical Conference. Combined, the enhanced R2R content will serve as the exclusive technical content provider to ICEC USA. AIMCAL also will host a member pavilion on the ICEC show floor. Members receive discounted booth space within this special pavilion.

“Co-locating the AIMCAL R2R USA Conference with the ICEC USA brings new synergies to both events and allows attendees to learn about the latest converting technologies during conference sessions and see machines in action on the show floor,” says AIMCAL Executive Director Chris Kerscher. To add to the educational opportunities available to attendees, AIMCAL will present its Fundamentals seminars on "Slitting & Rewinding," "Coating & Drying," "Gravure Printing (GAA)," and "Flexible Packaging (SPE)" on Sunday, Oct. 17.     

The expanded agenda for the annual AIMCAL R2R USA Conference features presentations on the latest developments in sustainability, vacuum metallizing, coating, drying, laminating, printing, and web handling and applications in a range of markets including flexible packaging, battery manufacturing, printed electronics, photovoltaics, and optics. The deadline to submit abstracts for potential papers is Monday, June 7, 2021. Submissions should be made via the AIMCAL Website, www.aimcal.org.
