Still time to register and attend GAA "Gravure Basics Virtual Seminar" May 4-6

Fifteen Gravure Assn. of the Americas (GAA) members are participating as speakers and moderators over three afternoons starting on May 4 through May 6,  2021. Each three-hour Webinar will start at 1:00 p.m. EDT and will have four presentations. The GAA consultant team of Mike Gaffney and Bob Kikkert will facilitate questions and answers at the end of each Webinar. The agenda includes:

May 4: The first Webinar kicks off with Mark Glendenning of Inland Packaging presenting “The Valued and Unique Qualities of Gravure Printing," followed by Prof. Greg D’Amico of R.I.T. presenting “Gravure Market Segments," then a video presentation from Achim Kurreck of H.C. Moog on "An Overview of Web Gravure, Sheetfed Gravure and Offset (Indirect) Gravure Processes” and Steve Boettcher of Flxon will cover the “Gravure Print Station Components."

May 5 is a jam-packed day, starting with a presentation by GAA’s Mike Gaffney on “The importance of pressroom safety,” followed by Tony Delfosse of SGS covering“Cylinder Basics," Johnny Stamey of Max Daetwyler presents “Doctor Blades, Holders and related topics," Rod Sosa of Fresco-Systems presents “Gravure inks from a pressroom perspective including BOM and nomenclature with color matching” and Jim Gheradi of Penn Color discussing “Formulating Gravure inks – Composition, handling and common questions and issues."

Finishing off this comprehensive Webinar series on May 6: Kevin McNally of Bobst NA informs attendees on “Press Registration and Drying Fundamentals," next is Allan MacKinlay of i2M on “Films/Foils and Paper Substrates Applications," followed by Ernest Schneider of BST USA with the latest on “Web Inspection” and last but very important is Joe Steingraeber of his company covering “ESA and Web Static Control."

To help the attendees, each Webinar will be recorded, and the registered students will have access to the recordings for two weeks afterward. 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND? All those new to the gravure industry and who will benefit from the topics to help them "do their jobs better."
