Coating, Drying, Laminating, Embossing, Calendering, Printing, Lacquering, Winding, Treating, Misting and Drives & Controls are in our DNA since 1949.
From coating technologies like reverse gravure with pressurized doctor chamber systems, engraving application gravure / forward / reverse / direct / offset, Roll-Coating, Reverse roll coater, Commabar (including deflection compensation) and Hotmelt coating, via Smooth roller, systems with nip dosing incl. specific roller arrangement with different feeding systems up to Curtain Coating and Slot die coating. OLBRICH and Polytype Converting® offer a full spectrum of solutions.
We also offer the corresponding drying technology: Floatation, Vacutex® dryers with integrated smooth-running and free-running rollers, CTS™ Bottom- and TP™ Top Air Nozzles, Dryers for Cleanroom installations up to GMP, FDA and/or GAMP5 standards. We can configure our dryers with external or internal air recirculation, independent control of upper and lower air temperature. Heating systems can be electrical; direct gas burners or thermal oil, hot water or steam via heat exchangers
Winding machines are key to perfect web control and our range includes center winders, shafted or shaftless; circumference winders; turret winders w/ or w/o center axis; orbital winders, automatic cutting and splicing systems, fully automatic roll exchange systems and many more.

State-of-the-art technical centres in Germany and Switzerland are the origin of pioneer innovations that are successfully used worldwide today: Here, our engineering specialists develop advanced technologies for R2R products, leading to innovations that give our customers a competitive advantage.

Our technical centre consists of:
• 500 mm wide (web) multifunctional coating and printing line (“BA1”)
• 1,000 mm wide (web) - laminating and embossing line, (“PLA1”, conditions close to production)
• 1,050 mm wide (web) - flexible coating line (“BA2”, conditions close to production)
• “TECHMA1” – this line includes 50 different coating methods
• “TECHMA 2” – this line offers additionally the curing of the coatings via radiation treatment including UV, IR and especially E-Beam
